Working as an EEO Mediator, I have had numerous conversations with employers, reviewed documentation such as Employee Handbooks and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Many times, I was asked the question of, “What could I have done differently?”
After being asked this question many times, (I have conducted well over 2000 EEO Mediations) what I found was a lack of a good Human Resources Department. Some companies would hire someone that claims to have the experience, by de facto fell into the job, or had no HR department at all. None of these are very good options and often a recipe for disaster.
I created Jordan HR Consultants as an opportunity to provide Fortune 500 company Human Resources Department, knowledge, and expertise without the steep cost to small and growing business. I have access to the latest information regarding employment from state and federal agencies. More importantly, I enjoy working in this field and imparting the knowledge and expertise to small and growing businesses to help them navigate the employment process. The more they know, the less likely they may face employee issues.
Now about me, I have an Associate in Legal Assistance, a Bachelor of Applied Arts in Business Administration and a Master of Art in Conflict Management and Resolution. I am a trained mediator and hold the credentials of Credentialed Distinguished Mediator through Texas Associations of Mediators (TMCA). I also am a trained Arbitrator. I have mediated well over 2000 EEO cases, conducted training classes on implicit bias, microaggressions and stereotypes. I have written articles on colorism, hair, race and other Title VII of the Civil Rights of 1964.
More importantly, I love helping and educating people because if you know better, you do better.
